Hi... I live on my sailboat on BC coast. My turf is about south limit of alaska to mid Vancouver Island. I have been using an MXT and have found many interesting objects. I plan to buy a TDI but keep seeing the TDI PRO mentioned. If there is no difference except accommodation for Australia conditions why do they call it PRO which infers upgrade.

Also, since my detecting is virtually not far from the water I usually detect small creeks and a bit inland. Any recommedations for coils for rugged rock coastal and creeks and can you immerse them in creeks coupla feet deep if I choose the TDI.

many thanks

I am the first to upgrade detectors but saw no reason to sell my TDI to get a Pro. But if I were buying a new one I would get the Pro. It has a dual ground balance control and a threshold volume control that together will offer finer tuning capability.
