Having a blast,so glad to be back in Ganes Creek. The first 1/2 day wasn't too productive, only 2 nuggets- a .02 and a .5 oz.The weather was sunny when we got here and turned to rain.I'm sitting in the greenhouse as this is the only wi-fi spot in camp.I'll try to post more as they come in. Dave

Most of the gold in Week 1 & 2 was found with White's MXT, Minelab X-Terra 70/705, and Fisher F75. But any good VLF in a GOOD OPERATORS hands will work. One guy was using a White's V3i and doing quite well with it.

This week the Whites MXT and V3i are the majority, there are 2 GMTs and 2 Minelab x-terra. There have been 23 nuggets with the largest just over 1 oz, a lot of .75 size.Tom is the leader with 6 nuggets. Dave

As of dinner time on thursday there were 41 nuggets with the largest at 1.91.Weather has been fabulous,a little rain early in the week and cool dry days. One more day of hunting and this years adventure is over, time to get back to reality.I brought my Minelab 500 and found a .75oz with it, but there is a lot of trash and without a really good discriminator on the Minelab, I found myself using the MXT and the GMT the most. The guy with the most nuggets is using a GMT with a Hot Shot coil.More Later.
