Steve- thanks for posting these pictures for me. I'm back in civilization again, let me know if you want any more pictures of the 3rd week, I took several action shots of Tom.The 2 pictures above were a few minutes after he threw that monster nugget at me.There was only very poor internet connections.I was surprised the pictures made it to your e-mail, but I had to try and get the pictures out to the forum for all those waiting to see it. Hi Gaine,

And more waiting for you!

Hi Steve,

I thought you were doing a three weeker...I guess you got other places waiting for you. Regret that we won't get to hunt with ya again...

Good luck on you dredging adventure!

Kamikaze1a- Were you there for the 3rd week? Dave

07-07-2011, 10:32 AM
That is not a Ganes Creek Nugget, it is a Ganes Creek Potato! Anything over 10 oz is a Potato! Holy cow that is awesome...

Nope, will be there next week. My first time at Ganes...looking forward to it!

Hope you do well Gaine, put in as much time swinging as possible. All my best came up stream from camp (which does not mean much) good luck, Bob

kamikaze- which machine are you taking to Ganes? I found 2 of my small .2 oz nuggets down stream and the other 7 upstream.I took 3 detectors and 9 coils. I found Gold with all 3 machines. Dave

Tom told his wife that he had a few small nuggets including one that was perfect for a pendant. Wish I could have video'd that :) Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. He worked hard the whole week, and was a pleasure to be around.

Loobie- How was your trip home? I went over to see Tom on Sunday, his store is like an art gallery. That man is soooo talented. He was telling the story when I walked in,he said" and thats the guy I threw it at".It was great meeting and hunting with you.Hope to see you next year. Dave

Hey Dave, trip home was better than the trip there. I was still all worn out. I had a great time and was kind of proud of myself for being able to swing that monster coil all week. Only the 1 nugget early, but it sure is one of the nicest ones I have. It was good meeting you, and I hope we can do it again.

Hi Bob, gonna miss seeing you and your wife this summer. Flying direct from Anc to home this year and flight out a few hours after arriving from McGrath so only seeing the airport this year. Thanks for the good luck wishes.

highbanker, taking an MXT and ML 4k and a couple of coils for each. I usually bring an arsenal of coils but always end up using only one or two so intending to cut back this trip. "Trying" to pack light but I say that every year and end up maxing the bags out anyway. At least no bulky sleeping bag this year...

Congrats Tom on such a great find, it sounds like you have worked hard to get that beautiful thing, and the best part
is you are in The Double Figure Gang Now, what a Trooper. HH
