I put a deposit down on a new SL- I was wondering what people's experiences were with the best deep mono for a tdi. I decided to get the 7 1/2 df coil since it would be in the 'middle' of my GMT and a large mono coil.
As far as I know my options are the Whites 12 mono and the sierra and razorback coils- does anyone have experience with theses larger mono coils? I am looking at something that will be used for deeper gold or silver.
Which one did you like the best and why?

I'm wondering the same thing I pick-up my TDI SL today and have been checking them out. I'm probably going to go with a Sierra loop but haven't decided for sure.

The razorback 14 is on sale so I picked one up. I like the new tdi so far with the 7.5, it is a featherweight! Make my GMT feel clunky.

Yes, the razorback round 14 mono is on sale. The main complaint about the new TDI SL so far is it does not have a fine tune ground balance like the older TDI PRO has.

I'm also looking to pick up a large mono coil for my TDI PRO, just have used the stock 12" dual field so far. Plan to do some hillside patch hunting here in the AZ desert once the temperature drops a bit. Thinking about the 14" razorback. Any one have any experience with it yet? How about the large NF ellipticals? Any other advice appreciated. Lyle

For big coverage patch hunting hillsides. Look at the razorback 8x14"(pointy nose), 8x17"(round nose) mono, or 4.5"x22" figure 8 coil.

Or look at the NF 30"x7" Patch Pro, and also the 14x9", 17x11", or 24x12".
