we got this coin yesterday we didn't know they made a 20 cent coin but we do now we love the TDI Pro for coins hunting we use the 3's rule and dig only coin size target work it slow you dig some iron the washer are the hard to tell form a coin good luck and good hunting

That is quite a find. Twenty cent coins were only struck for 3 years and only the first year was circulated, the rest were proofs. 1.1 million were struck at the San Fransicko Mint.

90% silver 10% copper just don't know how it got here in our neck of the woods you never know what you going to dig up

WTG Little Man...that is a rare find. :cool: Do you figure on selling it or will it be kept in your collection?


PS: Brian I think that "pinkish" tone is a bit of copper bleeding... a guess. But it definitely is .900 Ag and .100 Cu.

I thank colorer is form the lighting it was late when we took the PIC. We are going keep this one we didn't know they made a 20 cent coin and it was not made that long we just got the OK to hunt a place next to were we found it a church in town got a 1/2 block they going to make into a parking lot they are four house on it and the old tennis court the house go back to the 1920's and they use be older house there the tennis court go back to 1900 this use to be a big place here we not grow over the year's but die out a little at a time sad we use to have a lot of thing here now it gas and fast food

Nice find. I've primarily looked for gold nuggets and have had hardly any luck to the present. I'm going to try my hand at coin hunting. Looks like a great time. I noticed in your post you said something like we only dig coin size targets. Is your TDI a detector that identify's coins on a digital display with accuracy?

it a dig all we hunt by sound you can hunt in high or low but we hunt in all use the 3'S rule sound, shape and size
