I am trying to make a dredge and I could use some help please. I am using a pump that delivers 150 gpm. It has a 2 inch intake and a 2 inch discharge. I made the discharge 1 1/4 and took it into a nozzle with a suction of 2 inches. This goes into the crash box and to the sluice. My sluice is 11 inches wide and I am using 3/4 riffles spaced 2 inches apart. I have pretty much guessed on the sizes that i am using and it is getting some fine gold. With all that my question is... Am I on the right track or what do I need to change? Thanks for any and all help.

Tom, you should engineer your riffles to the size of gold in your area. If all that you are recovering is fine gold, then I would go with expanded over Nomad. The possibility of nuggets might induce me to put a few Hungarians down near the discharge. But not at the top where they would agitate all the fine gold back up into the flow.
