Hey Tender Foot, glad you had a good season. Still actively mining here in Idaho thanks to a much later fall than what you are used to up north. What tributary of the Koyokuk are you on and how many claims do you have?

hit old channel on my lower bench this spring followed it till gone 2 hrs. a day is all me am
nd my boys can run so maybe 120yds. a day We averaged 1-3 Oz. a day but when buddies showed up to help we had 5-10 oz. days unfortunatly i ran up what was there in that spot and went to testing with bobcat and trommell .....looking good found years of running that the big boys stacked years ago some ran some not ran stuff still pays mighty well (last guy was a nugget shooter) so happy to run his tailings they produce at least a 1/2 oz. per 40 yds. which in my spot is doable...http://i372.photobucket.com/albums/oo165/tenderfootminer/055.jpg http://i372.photobucket.com/albums/oo165/tenderfootminer/054.jpg

That boy will be running the mine some day!! I had my son(19yr old) dredge with me this summer, rainy days werent much for motivation but we got 4 1/2 oz.(way less than the 7k for his summer job) we have alot of videos(priceless)

tenderfootminer

your videos will never lose value! My mine is named "Stockwell and sons mining company" for that same reason ,without my boys there is not much reason to to dig for gold.http://i372.photobucket.com/albums/oo165/tenderfootminer/100_3568.jpg

Do you raise the waterfoul for food or pets. Have you checked the gizzards for any golden treasures? They like shiny things!

Would any of the claims be profitable for a couple of guys with a 6" dredge? How deep to pay/bedrock.Is the water clear all summer and can i get their with 4x4 blazer.

tenderfootminer
11-10-2012, 06:09 PM
banner creek is big enough for a 6 inch 12mile claims are boat then 4 wheeler access.Banner has road right to creek not sure how deep to bedrock there as i have only played alittle bit on those claims.gold in all the sand bars (i panned a little) the research i did says bedrock was shallower at banner than tenderfoot so they open trenched mine. but no definate answer

I give my wife a hard time as she likes to do clean-ups in the kitchen when it gets the slight bit cold in the garage....however the cold we experience in Boise is nothing compared to what you have going on....enjoy the holidays!

Hey tenderfoot ! I worked as a guide at Coldfoot summer 2011, are you a local miner? I'm traveling there this summer to work my highbanker on Slate Creek and do some prospecting about 20-25 miles from Coldfoot on Chandalar trail.
