View Full Version : Refinishing a Gemini Table

Does anyone have any thoughts/ideas/answers on refinishing a Gemini gold table? After years and years it has some cracks in the surface throughout. Could a guy go through and do a standard scrape, sand and then paint? But with what?

Thanks, Jeremy

Chalkboard spray paint

A neighbor did the same a few years back, stripped, filled cracks with filler, primed then painted with spray on green chalkboard paint, it worked well for them, if you hear of another one for sale let me know, a Gemini table is a good tool.

Thats what I was thinking about doing. I about choked at the price of new tables. The Goldfield goes for 16K and the MSI is 26K. Makes its worth the rebuild cost for sure.

many years ago i helped build a shaker table. we used bondo to fill in all the holes, dents and imperfection sanded it flat. then primer and chalkboard paint to finish the top. from what i understand the gemini tops will warp over time. i would check that out before you put a bunch of time into it.
